Trinity Advisory Named Finalist in Four Categories for the 2025 Australian Accounting Awards

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Trinity Advisory has been named a finalist in four national categories at the 2025 Australian Accounting Awards, presented by Accountants Daily.

The Australian Accounting Awards stand out as the foremost event in the industry, recognizing the wide-ranging expertise, proficiency, and exceptional commitment of accounting professionals and firms throughout the country. The list of finalists includes over 307 exceptional achievers across 36 submission-based categories, underscoring the outstanding talent within the accounting sector.

The categories are:

  • Boutique Firm of the Year (less than 20 employees)
  • Business Advisory Firm of the Year
  • Partner of the Year – Boutique Firm (Rod Sherrington)
  • Regional/Suburban Firm of the Year

These nominations reflect the journey we’ve taken to reimagine what an accounting firm can be. Trinity Advisory has evolved from a traditional compliance practice into a relationship-first, advisory-led firm focused on helping regional trade-based businesses move from “the grind of self-employment” to the freedom of “true business ownership.”

Leading with Purpose

We’re equally proud of our contribution beyond the numbers. In 2024, our team raised a record-breaking $411,000 for the FNQ Hospital Foundation, bringing our 5-year total to over $1.275 million. We also sponsor an annual award through the Business Liaison Association, supporting the next generation of business leaders.

Congratulations to our Managing Director, Rod Sherrington, whose nomination as Partner of the Year reflects his leadership in building a quality firm grounded in values, innovation, and meaningful results.

Being named a finalist is widely regarded as an astounding accomplishment within the accounting sector. Accountants Daily Editor, Miranda Brownlee, congratulated the finalists and acknowledged the exceptional talent and skills of entrants this year.

“Congratulations to all this year’s finalists. Many of the categories this year received high numbers of entries. Deciding the winners between the many outstanding award submissions will be a difficult job for the judging panel this year,” Brownlee said.

Rod Sherrington, Managing Director at Trinity Advisory, said he was humbled by the recognition and proud to be named as a finalist in the Australian Accounting Awards 2025.

Trinity Advisory’s recognition for our excellent contribution to the Australian accounting sector reinforces the strength of our service and dedication to going above and beyond for our clients and supporting the community around us ,” he added.

Thank you to our team, our clients, and our community for your continued support. This recognition belongs to you as much as it does to us. We are deeply grateful for your trust, collaboration, and commitment to our shared success.

The winners are announced on June 20th at the awards ceremony—wish us luck!
