Trinity Advisory is looking for a Senior Accountant / Business Advisor to join our new Brendale office, opening on 1 July 2026.
We are a multi-award-winning advisory-led accounting firm helping small business owners move from the pressure of self-employment to the freedom of true business ownership.
Established in Cairns in 2011, expanded to the Sunshine Coast in 2020, and now launching in Brendale in 2026, Trinity Advisory is continuing to grow across Queensland.
Brendale is a serious long-term commitment for our firm. You will be joining a supported office environment, with existing colleagues, systems, leadership, and client relationships already in place.
About the Role
This is a client-facing role for an experienced accountant who wants to build a long-term career in genuine business advisory.
You will work with established business clients, many of them trade-based businesses, helping them understand their numbers, improve profitability, strengthen systems, make better decisions, and build stronger businesses. The role includes:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, GST, and tax planning
- Preparing and interpreting management reports
- Meeting with business owners and helping them understand their financial performance
- Supporting clients with pricing, profitability, cash flow, margins, revenue, costs, and team performance
- Turning financial information into practical insights, actions, and accountability
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
- Attending client meetings and occasional client site visits
- Helping strengthen and grow our North Brisbane presence
Our version of advisory is practical, hands-on, and grounded in the numbers. It is not theoretical or fluffy.
About You
You will likely suit this role if you are an experienced accountant who enjoys people, business, and problem-solving. Ideally, you will have:
- 7+ years’ experience in public practice accounting
- CA or CPA qualification completed
- Experience operating at Manager level, or close to it
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
- Confidence speaking with business owners
- Strong commercial judgement
- A proactive and accountable approach
- Genuine interest in advisory work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working in a paperless, technology-driven environment
Experience with Xero, XPM, FYI, Excel modelling, AI tools, and digital workflows will be highly regarded.
You do not need to already be a fully developed business coach. We can train you in our advisory model. But you do need to be curious, commercially minded, confident with clients, and willing to step beyond traditional compliance work.

Salary and Opportunity
The salary range is: $140,000 – $150,000 plus superannuation. For the right person, this role also offers:

Practical Expectations
This is an office-based role in our new Brendale office.
The role may involve client meetings, occasional site visits, some travel, and potential travel to Cairns for up to two weeks every 12 weeks, depending on client needs.
